04 The idea
What it means for a personality to exist as data
Most companion apps are a prompt with a name on it. Reset the tab and the person you were talking to is gone, because there was never anything stored underneath.
A virtual AI girlfriend is only convincing when something persists between sessions. Continuity is not a personality trait you can prompt for — it is a storage problem, and it is the part almost nobody solves properly.
So the file comes first. Facts you mention are extracted and written down with a timestamp. Traits are numeric weights rather than adjectives in a hidden prompt. Mood is a value that decays slowly instead of resetting when the page reloads. The conversation is generated from all of it, which is why she can contradict you about something you said three weeks ago.
